Starcodes for the week of June 19-25, 2026

This week brings the longest days of the year, the high tide of the growing season. In the evening sky we can see mental Mercury approaching expansive Jupiter, all in sensitive, perceptive, and self-protective Cancer. The Sun joins them in Cancer on Sunday morning at 2:24 AM MDT. Venus is just on the far side in expressive Leo, great for dinner parties in that long, lingering dusk. Chiron joins Mars in earthy, sensual Taurus helps us get more grounded and enjoy the riches of the vegetable gardens.

All together these planets help us tell wonderful stories and appreciate home, family, and summer traditions, but can bring out an easily-slighted touchiness. Go gently and ask what people really mean before taking offence.

This solstice weekend encourages us to tend chores, make home cozier under an industrious, nervy Virgo Moon. Sunday afternoon the Moon enters Libra, asking us to celebrate this first day of summer socially, together. It also calls for radical equilibrium and can bring a potentially painful awareness of what is out of balance in our world.

Wednesday, our edges sharpen as the Moon enters pointed Scorpio and brings focus and hair-trigger defenses. The Sun squares Neptune which can leave us foggy, question any personal critiques or grand statements in the news, as it’s hard to tell fact from fiction.

Venus in Leo trines Saturn in Aries towards the end of the week and can ask us to put some real work into our creative life. Create an even more beautiful garden or stronger connections. The Sun also squares Neptune which can leave us spacey with a need for some interior time. If we can, let’s sit by the water with a book. Just question any sudden impulses or grand statements in the news, as this can also bring obfuscation through either intentional misdirection or through misunderstandings.

Back to the beginning of the week, Chiron now leaves Aries, where it’s been for 8 years, and dips into Taurus, reenters Aries briefly in September, then shifts to Taurus next April through 2033. Chiron is an asteroid-comet hybrid which works as a bridge between Saturn and the traditionally visible planets, and Uranus- the first planet discovered with technology after the industrial revolution. It acts as a bridge between the known and the unknown, between the seen and the unseen.

Sitting on this bridge is this archetype of the wounded healer, a place where we had to wrestle with a problem, a wound, a challenge, and if we succeed and heal that struggle, we gain wisdom which help us bridge to our unseen strengths and wisdom we can pass on to help others. For the past 8 years our world has been wrestling with our wounding around Mars issues, Yang or “masculine”, militant energy, the desire to burn the past and start over, all part of the Aries paradigm.

Chiron takes about 50 to 51 years around the Sun and travels in a wildly eccentric orbit. It’s orbit crosses Saturn’s path at its closest point of the cycle, and almost reaches Uranus at its furthest point.

As Chiron heads into Taurus, its focus shifts to our relationship with all the realms of matter. What grows real food, what brings us security and makes us comfortable. Watch for the wounding around bills coming due, greed, hoarding, possessiveness, taxes, and valuing money more than souls. Explore how we find divine materiality and revere the earth underneath us.

Friday, June 19: The mood is prickly, nervy, editorial, which is good for cleaning up unfinished business and weeding our garden, as long as we don’t try to weed one another. Tend to materiel goods; notice financial news in the headline and reassess personal budgets as Chiron enters Taurus. Tonight, share work stories and catch up with one another, then let work rest and seek new places in the heart, bring in a healing time.

Moon sextile Sun 5:30 AM MDT, Moon enters Virgo 8:36 AM, Moon squares Uranus 2:05 PM, Chiron enters Taurus 3:17 pm.

Saturday, June 20: It can be easy to start and stop, get too many projects going and have trouble bringing any of them to completion, but that just may be how it is. Have several projects cooking under this nervy, analytical Virgo Moon and enjoy the progress. This works best if we’re industrious in bursts, then move on to stir the next pot, as our attention wanders easily. While we work let’s keep talking, we want to solve the world’s problems together. Make it a dialogue rather than monologue and share deep into this shortest night.

Uranus squares the nodes 1:50 AM MDT.

Sunday, June 21: Soak in this longest day of the year, let it bring joy to the heart. Garden the soul that all good things may grow. This summer solstice can open up doorways within and without, so love the world. The Sun enters Cancer at 2:25 AM MDT and reminds us that we are part of the family of humankind, of all sentient beings. If we have cranky moments, let’s be honest but express then with care and self-responsibility, feelings are wide open and any anger, danger, fault-finding, will hurt; people are unusually sensitive. The Moon enters Libra and Venus sextiles Ceres this afternoon, both ask us all to share connection, community, and joy.

Sun enters Cancer 2:24 AM MDT, Moon sextile Mercury 3:03 AM, Moon trine Mars 505 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 11:32 AM, Moon enters Libra 2:54 PM, Venus sextiles Ceres 2:57 PM, Moon square Sun 3:55 PM, Moon trine Uranus 9:01 PM, the Moon opposed Neptune’11:06 PM.

Monday, June 22: This morning, let some poignancy, some lingering dream, open the heart and remind us that growth and evolution are possible. Remember the preciousness of life, the joy of baby birds, and reset the priorities for the day ahead as the Libra Moon forms a grand trine with Pluto and Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini. Let’s conceive where we want to go next and create all healing moments throughout the day. Around dinnertime, some bill becomes due, it could bring physical tiredness or a responsibility that needs to be met; gently hammer out the details as the Moon opposes Saturn.

Moon trine Pluto 12:25 AM MDT, Moon sextile Venus 11:14 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 5:06 PM.

Tuesday, June 23: We could feel it disjuncture between mind and heart today, that just needs a little work. Watch for emotional biases that can justify itself with reason, but really are an emotional preconception concerning safety and hopes for a peaceful future. Be honest about strong feelings but don’t justify them with specious logic. Keep the conversation flowing and let both mind and heart have their say; mediate between them as the Moon squares Mercury and Jupiter.

Moon square Mercury 2:46 PM, Moon square Jupiter 10:10 PM.

Wednesday, June 24: Consider being quiet before the coffee really kicks in as the Scorpio Moon squares Pluto this morning. We could wake up with a chip on our shoulder, a desire to meditate, or feel hyper-focused towards an important project; what we’re really not interested in is wasting our time with lots of words and details as the Moon enters pointed Scorpio. Let’s be responsible for our moods and focus constructively. If some resentment surfaces, look to see if it needs action, boundaries, amends, a releasing ritual, or loud music; don’t just waste precious time stewing, instead get clarifying information, and do what’s needed to free that energy up. It furthers to have something to concentrate upon.

Moon enters Scorpio 12:43 AM MDT, Moon trine Sun 6:42 AM, Moon square Pluto 10:36 AM.

Thursday, June 25: Take in the morning slowly and gently. Given time to ramp up, we can truly appreciate people, traditions, and history that give us reassurance as Venus trines Saturn. The Sun squares confusing Neptune which can help us drift and dream, enjoy floating in a dream, by the water, in a good book, or puttering in our garden, but all details and assumptions need clarification and validation. Like walking through the fog, feel for the solid ground and take one careful step at a time. Look for questions around water usage –  too much here, too little there, and feelings that can seep up like a soggy wetland. Dream a good dream.

Moon square Venus 4:12 AM MDT, Venus trine Saturn 6:01 AM, Sun square Neptune 4:38 PM.
