Even the smallest candle can dispel the darkness.
And here we are, traveling through our own personal darknesses, dancing with collective shadows, and navigating the treachery of the great unknown future.
We are doing our best to shine. We are doing our best to radiate. We are doing our best to be happy. But there is so much. The darkness, shadow, and treachery in our personal and collective lives, appears and disappears and reappears like a bat flying through the twilight as we gaze up at the brightening stars.
We know there is good. We know there is beauty. We know there is justice and nobility and morality and purity in this world, but many of our leaders have failed us. Many of the kings have gone insane. Many of us are left rudderless, confused, and angry that those in positions of power seem to have forgotten their townspeople, their subjects, and those whom they are responsible for. Ego has trumped heart.

And so here we are, at the end of our experiment where we have exalted others and placed our hope upon them. Be they rock stars, presidents, business owners, or talking heads, the words many of us hear are either nonsensical, hypocritical, or unsatisfying; not to mention downright lies. But we have given our power to Kings for thousands of years. And here I am, preaching anything? WTF do I know…? Writing about it is the only way I know how to effectively process it. I write it because I need to hear it, too!
So here we are. What are we going to do about it?
With this New Leo Moon eclipse, it is our prerogative to become our own authority; to preside over our boardroom of Self, and to guide and protect ourselves with the love and magnanimity of our own inner truth.
There, inside of our heart, is wisdom, a knowing. We have lived our own lives. We know what makes us happy. We know what makes us sad. We know what scares us. We know what angers us. We know what excites us. We know when we feel love. We know when we feel fear. We know when we like our chocolate ice cream and we know when we don’t like our over cooked mushy peas. We are infinitely intelligent in knowing ourselves. What is our joy?
That’s what we then trust; our joy. We trust our ‘yes’. We trust the part of us that feels expansion, happiness, and radiance. In kinesiology/muscle testing, a ‘yes’ is strong in our electrical body; our arms or fingers are strong and resist moving when opposed. A ‘no’ is weak and our arm drops or our fingers open. We can feel ‘yes’ in our body as strength and a ‘no’ in our body as weakness. Our job this month is to move toward our ‘yeses’. Our job this month is to move in the direction of that which strengthens us, encourages us, and empowers us to move forward into our yes, our truth, our whole being, as we let go of those things in our life which are a ‘no’.
We have a choice to expand or contract amidst any of all adversity. Contraction is easy amidst the shadows. We want to hide. We become protective. But the Sun is always shining, even behind the storms, even when we are turned away from it.
Choose to shine. Choose to radiate. Choose to bring your brightness into the world. Bring your warmth to others. Be like the Sun and stay light regardless of the storms or the turning away. We have this one life, this one moment, this one chance to add our light, our music, our unique being to the great collective song. Add your light to the glory of the One Song, and all will be well.
