Starcodes for the week of May 1-7, 2026
Imagine the stars bringing a beautiful virtual basket of spring flowers this May morning. In this peak of Taurus season, it’s traditional to sweep out the old and bring in fresh life, bring in new rushes for the floor, fresh greens for the health, and celebrate new life returning no matter how cold or dry the winter was. We also celebrate a bouquet of hard-won worker’s rights on this International Workers’ Day. Let this cycle of rebirth bring hope into our hearts even when the world looks dire.
Take in this glimmer of springtime to balance today’s Full Moon in brooding Scorpio, contrasting the Taurus Sun need for cozy stability and the Scorpio Moon intense stirring of primal emotions. This Full Moon can point out our aloneness or pour its light into our curiosity and need for privacy, intimacy, or a solo journey. It can be tempting to blame discomfort we have about being alone on others, to run through our litany of loneliness, but underneath this is a longing for connection to soul. It can point out our fear of abandonment or highlight our ability to be there for ourselves and the freedom this presence and connection to spirit can bring.
On a more political layer, this Full Moon with Mercury, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune all in Aries as the weekend begins, and as Mars approaches a square to Jupiter and Mercury squares Pluto on Monday, can bring some intense backlash or revenge fantasies that will not further but are an expression of expressions of frustration and dueling needs for control. These planets still lined up in Aries can give us energy or inspire our impulsive streak and prioritize willpower over common sense. This heat lowers a bit as Mercury leaves Aries and enters level-headed if stubborn Taurus on Sunday, and not a moment too soon.
Muscular Mars squares expansive Jupiter on Monday and brings out our Martian competition, militant ego, it can start a bar brawl but can also help us be brave and engage problems head on. It can trigger mechanical difficulties but also inspire our engineering ingenuity. Do not drive if upset or impatient, make it an exercise and mindfulness instead. While this energy can just help us put muscle into our work, proceed very carefully around tense relationships or places where there is a history of abuse. People who feel powerless may try to exert control. The week ends under a competent Capricorn Moon as Pluto retrogrades and asks us to go back and review our sole lessons.

Friday, May 1: Bring in the May to balance this full Scorpio Moon,11:22 AM MDT, and expect every wild feeling to arise. Look at primal emotions or deep dreams, soul longings that often run underneath the surface. Notice jealousy, suspicion, greed, those difficult creatures swimming deep in the waters of our consciousness; be honest about them but don’t let them run the show. Consider a spring cleaning of heart or closet. Use these stirrings to look deep within to what connects to the natural world, to your best self, to your best memories and traditions as Venus forms a stabilizing sextile to Saturn and Mercury conjuncts the healing asteroid Chiron. Flowers further.

Saturday, May 2: Release a heaviness this morning as that Moon trines Jupiter. We can feel a Full Moon hangover, a drop in energy, but still need to honor the call to deep work from that Scorpio Moon. Yesterday’s mood swings and primal emotions still circulate underneath but have less hooks into us today. Midday can leave us at loose ends; we can become ambiguous about whether we want to be around people or need more time to ourselves. Evening stabilizes, we may be ready to share our feelings tangentially rather than directly, through music, poetry, song, or shared experience as Mercury enters Venus-ruled Taurus. Experience more laughter towards midnight as the Moon approaches Sagittarius.
Moon trine Jupiter 2:47 AM MDT, Mercury enters Taurus 8:56 PM.
Sunday, May 3: Moods lighten as the Moon enters Sagittarius and opposes Uranus. Love those May flowers. Take a more lighthearted approach to serious issues, but deal with them now before they potentially expand mid-week. Check for mutating plans or changes of mind as the Moon opposes Uranus, stay flexible and roll with it. Interact carefully with any growing competitiveness or feisty edge. Tonight, collaborate on problems that need solving and get organized for the week ahead while the Moon trines structural Saturn.

Monday, May 4: Timing could be off this morning, impatience can make it hard to get things coordinated. Double check what’s needed before walking out the door to avoid a do-over. Muscular Mars squares Jupiter and trines the Moon which can inspire us to work out or push towards our personal best, it can help us tackle a big project but also inflame competition and a militant edge. It can begin a battle unless we direct it wisely. Watch for accidents when rushed or distracted, make life a graceful dance when in a hurry. Mechanical or engineering problems can stimulate amazing problem solving. Get creative.
Moon opposed Venus 1:15 AM MDT, Moon trine Mars 3:33 PM, Mars square Jupiter 8:08 PM.
Tuesday, May 5: Take the world seriously as Mercury squares Pluto and the Moon enters industrious, if potentially manipulative, Capricorn Moon. It’s a good day to find missing objects, to research, to dig under rocks or excavate foundations. Don’t be pressed into an urgent dire decision; see though any depressing illusion that we are trapped and look for the hidden benefit of the moment. Be patient and safe around any transportation delays. Mortality whispers and asks us to wake up and treasure who and what is truly important.
Moon enters Capricorn 1:05 PM MDT, Mercury square Pluto 4:07 PM, Moon square Neptune 8:01 PM.
Wednesday, May 6: This ambient muscular determination and competition continue; it’s a powerful day for work as motivational Mars lingers in its square to expansive Jupiter under that competent Capricorn Moon. We work well together on shared goals but can feel friction from a strange jockeying for position. Choose carefully where and when to argue over who is in control, who leads and who follows. It furthers to have a clear list of things that need to be done, goals that need to be achieved, to put this energy to good use. A walk across town furthers as it helps to be physically tired, it calms us down and lowers our interpersonal inflammation. Stay alert for old problems backing up, a bad kitchen drain, or return to a legal or interpersonal argument we thought settled, as Pluto retrogrades; If such an issue shows up, don’t be discouraged, we’ve rehearsed this one; stay solution focused.
Moon trine Mercury 1:54 AM MDT, Moon square Saturn 8:51 AM, Pluto retrograde 9:32 AM, Moon trine Sun 10:44 PM.
Thursday, May 7: We could feel temporarily old around the edges, a transient heaviness which can inspire important serious conversations we need to have. Don’t get lost in that identity of oldness, do just get done what needs doing and celebrate competence. It’s easy to become controlling if scared or insecure, but what we really need control over is our own life. Check in on people who ‘ve had long-standing work problems and help with any discouragement; some opportunities start to crack open as other conundrums thin people out. Stay alert for new opportunities.
Moon opposed Jupiter 5:10 AM MDT, Moon square Mars 8:18 AM, Moon square Chiron 9:18 PM.
