How a wild Sorraia horse named Mira shattered my ego and taught me the sacred frequency of Light Language
Telepathic contact with Mongolian horses calling out to me, a young Dutch woman? Receiving Light Codes from the Pleiades star cluster and the elementals of the forest, just beyond the mountain? Clearing energy pathways, mirroring clients with my herd of horses, and processing deep trauma – none of this was on my radar. I was just a city girl training to become a systemic therapist. But then, at 28, I received a vision of Mongolian horses that completely upturned and transformed my life.

An excerpt from my book ‘The Mongolian Horse, the Girl, and the Therapist- A Life-Changing Journey’:
“And then suddenly, out of nowhere, a clear insight drops into my consciousness-an intuition, a permeable conduit opening in my mind, connecting me to the vast, spiritual universe. Mongolia appears on my retina like a vision. I see horses running. A massive herd. So much light. An endless expanse of wind. Open space. Vast, open space. The rolling grasslands of the steppe. I see horses, and even more horses. The knowing that these animals are there and that I share a connection with them is powerful and fierce, making my soul light up right there in the hallway. In this fraction of a second, I feel weightless. Light and free. Autonomous. Among the horses, in the vastness of the yellow steppe, I am safe. That is where I need to go. A welcome signpost, a message from another dimension. An adventurous reality. The green steppe and the souls of the horses are calling me. They have traveled the distance between Mongolia and Delft. From the steppe to a kitchen featuring a mini-fridge with peeling paint. They chose the path of an invisible reality just to reach me. They heard and received the calling of my searching soul. In this moment, they give me trust. And I know, from a deep inner knowing and awareness, that they will carry me.”
Shortly after, I spent two months traveling by horseback through Mongolia, riding toward the reindeer herder tribes near the Russian border. For a moment, I considered living like that forever, never returning to society. On horseback, I digested my emotions; insecurity shifted into strength, and dependence dissolved into leadership. Yet, the realization that I wanted to make a tangible difference in people’s lives won out. After Mongolia, I developed Contextual Horse Therapy, a methodology for youth deemed ‘beyond treatment’ within the mental healthcare system. Its success was backed by scientific research conducted by a professor of child and adolescent psychiatry. A wealth of published articles on equine therapy soon followed.” Managing teams, treated families dealing with anxiety and trauma, and integrated my own personal growth into every single process.
After seven years, I yearned for more depth and stillness. I craved a new layer of connection with the horses. At 39, I immigrated to Portugal. There, living in the Serra da Estrela – where the veil between spiritual dimensions and the earth is thin-a wild Sorraia horse named Mira crossed my path, alongside two other horses and a mule. Mira taught me to look at horses in a completely new way and to truly understand them. She spoke to me about this:
Mira: “I am anyone’s equal. I am not subordinate just because of my physical form as a horse. My soul was once human, and I realized that we are all equal-truly equal. Now I am a horse to experience this side of existence: the limitations and functionality of this body, this DNA knowledge, and this expertise. And from this capacity, I work in total equality with my human counterpart. I found this in Hesther. We operate as a duo, as equals- we teach, we exist, we share. Not because I have to obey commands, and not because I just want to do whatever I please. No, as one team, as equals, we guide people toward wholeness within themselves.”
Together, we developed a brand-new method of equine therapy that doesn’t exist anywhere else, one that people have never seen before. Mira and I wrote a book about it titled ‘Lessons from My Horses, the Dragon, and the Whale: A Higher Consciousness of Equine Therapy’, which will be published on September 25 by Bloemendal Uitgevers.
Your authentic SELF emerges when you surround yourself with authentic souls. It is now time for me and Mira to take “working with horses-mirroring with horses” to a higher level, and we are working on that together. “That is why I chose Hesther, and why she chose me, when she looks deep into her heart”, according to horse Mira.
I am now 44 years old, I have entered the timeline of my master year. Whenever I am misaligned, dreamy, or not fully grounded in my body, Mira directs the herd to break out. They keep me sharp, awake, and anchored to the earth. We share a collective field of consciousness through which we communicate telepathically. Mira’s energy is predominantly white; she guards the harmony within the herd. She carries me, and I carry her. While heavily pregnant, I was moving the herd, walking out in front with a horse named Eyess. Eyess has a star-shaped white blaze, and her soul originates from the Pleiades. On a path surrounded by pine trees, Eyess refused to move forward. I felt I lacked the strength to get her going. In that exact moment, Mira broke away from the line and took over the lead for me.
It is experiences like these that sharpen my pure perception. Mira is back in the land of her ancestors, amidst the raw nature of the Serra da Estrela rocks. Behind the farmhouse lie giant boulders, watched over and protected by elementals. Together with Mira, we form a powerful energy field of white and light-green energy. These are dragon eggs. The high frequencies resonate. My awareness of Light Language unfolded a year ago when a fierce wildfire broke out east of our farm. My baby girl was just 6 months old. The energy of that fire re-incarnated me deeply back into my body. I felt tingling sensations resonate; my energy pulsed across my entire body, sensitive and light. It felt deeply aligned, a profound validation of my being as a receiving portal.
Since then, I visualize and manifest a massive white dragon, pulsating from the unified energy of myself and my infant daughter. It flies and swims within the cocoon of the mountains that surround us, living behind our house in the magical hills with the giant rocks. Since that time, a gargantuan whale has also lived within this cocoon. I experience the perception of these creatures as channeled Light Codes, to which my third eye is becoming increasingly receptive. This time, it isn’t the voice of the Mongolian horse coming through, like the one I described in my book The Mongolian Horse, the Girl, and the Therapist. These are multidimensional frequencies activating my soul’s destiny.
This is the Year of the Fire Horse. Mira and I wish for you to step into your own timeline. Open your heart energy to your intuition, so that your own Light Language can resonate change.
