The dictionary defines magnetic as possessing an extraordinary power or ability to attract. Throughout my life I have experimented with what I call “turning on the magnets”. Many times it was unconscious and I didn’t even know I was doing it. When you learn how to consciously turn on the magnets, you can attract who and what you want.
Throughout my life, I’ve had many amazing experiences with turning on my magnets. Frequently, it happens when I’m at a crossroad and not sure which way to go. A few years ago, my sister insisted that I needed to go to this breakfast meeting because the speaker was the president of one of our state universities. We were getting ready to launch a unique new career program and she felt maybe we could connect with the speaker. As a guest of this organization, I had to stand up and give a 30 second introduction about myself. Then it was time for the speaker. Before she started her talk, she said that she needed to give a call out to Lori Palm, me!! She said she had heard my name through the years because I graduated high school with her husband. She said his name and I was shocked as I hadn’t seen him for perhaps 45 years. I talked with her afterward and was able to share about our new career program. My magnets were on!

The first key to turning on your magnets is to know who you are from the inside out. The second key is to know your top core passion energies that show up day after day to drive everything you do. You will then know WHY you do what you do. The third key is to know your unique words of wisdom that you bring to the world. Then you just turn your magnets on.
When you are authentic and passionate, people can actually feel this vibration as a magnetic energy you transmit. When I could put words to who I was and what drove me to do what I do (my WHY), everything changed. I finally had a language for my authenticity. I believe being authentic is living your destiny to be who you are in each moment everywhere you go.
When you are confident of who you are, people begin to develop a level of trust and can listen to what you are saying. This energy sets up a magnetic resonance which continues to echo even after you have finished speaking. When I was at that meeting, the resonance of my introduction touched the speaker, and she felt a need to call out to me.
Everything is energy, energy creates movement, and movement produces results. Your passion is the energy source that moves things to happen. The stronger the passion, the bigger your magnetic energy field becomes. What results do you want to bring into your life? Move the energy, turn on your magnets and passionately attract it. When you know WHO you are, you know WHAT to do. I know who I am, and I knew what I had to do. I turned on my magnets and created a magical moment.
