New Aquarius Moon 2024

Exact time of full moon: Friday, February 9, 2024 at 4:57pm Central

While some say this is just the dawning of the age of Aquarius, and it doesn’t actually start until the year 2150, there are others who believe that the Aquarian age started with the ‘shot heard round the world’, the American Revolution. Following that closely was the French Revolution. The industrial age ensued. Some say the age of Aquarius began with the discovery of Uranus, the modern ‘Ruler’ of Aquarius, in 1781. That shook up the whole system! Astrology and astronomy encountered a kind of reckoning where they had to evolve and adapt quickly.

Evolving and adapting are hallmarks of the Aquarian age. We have now evolved and adapted to the point where the technology we have created is now evolving and adapting. Can we evolve with it? Will it lead to several dystopian Hollywood movies, or will we achieve a place where that technology can really be helpful? We’ll see.

Now that we are here, we are in a place of needing to evolve and adapt rapidly in response to technology evolving and adapting rapidly. In addition to adapting to rapid advances in technology, we are also having to adapt to rapid advances in society. This world is getting exceedingly smaller. Social norms are no longer whatever used to be considered normal. What the heck IS normal? I’m not!

Our understanding of the interconnected web of all life on this planet is becoming more and more necessary. We all exist in a closed system named Gaia. We really are all One. So, what are we going to do about it, individually and collectively, so that it all “works”?

Can we adapt and evolve to a place where we understand the interconnected web of life on this planet and treat it as sacred? Can we adapt and evolve to a place where all people’s and person’s rights are honored and respected? Can we all just get along and make this Earth into the beautiful garden we have the potential to make it into? Are we ready to invent some new solutions?

Welcome to our New Moon in Aquarius, at 4:57pm Central Friday, February 9th, where we are tasked to answer these questions. We are in the Aquarian age. We are all tasked to evolve and adapt rapidly both in global society and in our personal lives. Aquarius is the sign of innovation. Imagine how a seed turns upwards toward the soil surface and must grow through the darkness and the obstacles to find its way to the light. We are all asked to do that now.

We each have our own unique music to play in this global symphony. Let’s remind ourselves of our unique talents we can add to the mix. Can we celebrate them? Can we actualize them and engage in them without the fear of reprisal or an excessive desire for approval? Can we maintain our alignment with our soul’s intentions amidst whatever changes we are asked to adapt to? Lots of questions…

It’s up to us and the choices we make now with this New Moon. Imagine the greatest of all possible futures and make choices accordingly. Set your intention now for being your truest self and helping to usher in a beautiful, harmonious, and sustainable age of Aquarius.
