Starcodes for the week of November 24-30, 2023
It is rather ironic, and often funny, that many people gather with friends or families under this most outspoken Sagittarian Thanksgiving Holiday week. This weekend, with one feast over but visitors still nearby, Mars joins the Sun and Mercury already in Sagittarius. While this energy is generally optimistic and energetic, we can be truly tactless and provoking in the name of honesty.
While Sagittarius usually prompts and appreciates simple frankness, some of the worst liars hold the Sagittarian shadow, they believe their own unexamined story, so they don’t feel like they’re lying. For honesty to be real we have to be honest with ourselves first. Consider letting go of an old grudge and see the people around with fresh eyes – who are they now, not who were they once upon a time. Before we spout some wildly controversial opinion or unflattering comment, let’s ask ourselves, is it true, kind, necessary, and why do we need to say it now – what is our motivation.
Sagittarius’ symbol is the centaur, a half-human, half mobile animal. It also encourages us to move; this week more people travel than any other week of the year. If the conversations get too tactless at the house or restlessness makes the feet itch, put that energy into movement until the charge calms down; hike, play soccer, or dance the night away.
On Friday as the weekend begins Mars enters Sagittarius, and some important conversations come out where people can talk over touchy issues with unusual frankness and openness, as long as they keep their hearts connected and do so with lovingkindness. Venus in Libra helps us to keep that even.
The mood settled down over the weekend, home projects can direct activity and further connections as the Moon enters earthy Taurus. There could be a delay to wrestle with, but it may contain a hidden benefit. We could also gain a fresh perspective on real differences between the generations as Mars square Saturn, but we can be curious not censorious and use these to deepen our mutual understanding.
The Moon waxes towards full, into Gemini Sunday evening, which is good for last minute travel but can leave us restless and we may find it hard to wind at the end of the day. As Mercury approaches a square to Neptune let’s keep our eyes peeled for weather issues or drunk drivers and confirm all incoming information as this square can act like a mini-Mercury retrograde. Our dreams could be wild, our subconscious active this whole week.
A full Gemini Moon on Monday morning can jumpstart the post-holiday activity, but that Mercury Neptune square can bring confusion. Consider a slower, more thoughtful start and make sure to understand what is actually needed. Midweek it furthers to focus on self-care, health, reassurance and nurturing as the Moon enters Cancer and Venus approaches a square Pluto.
Friday, November 24: Talk out rough edges or hurt feelings and brainstorm future plans as Mars enters proactive Sagittarius while the Moon Leave feisty Aries and enters more settled Taurus by midday. Let go of the past stories and see each other with fresh eyes. Leftovers taste even better, naps feel under that sensuous, comfort-loving Taurus Moon. Set a budget if shopping, it’s easy to overspend. Tonight- look east towards the Moon- Jupiter conjunction and expand.
Mercury in conjunct Uranus 2:27 AM, Mars enters Sagittarius 3:14 AM, Moon squares Pluto 10:40 AM, Moon enters Taurus 1:28 PM, Moon sex all tile Saturn 2:59 PM.
Saturday, November 25: Generational differences and different perspectives need to be appreciated rather than found annoying. Be curious about another’s perspective as Mars squares Saturn. Watch for some frustrations, if we feel frustrated by practical responsibilities or the difficulties of making group decisions, slow down and focus on building memories rather than accomplishing specific agenda.
Moon conjunct Jupiter 2:42 AM, Mars square Saturn 9:57 AM.
Sunday, November 26: Today’s unsettled feeling can help us travel but can be hard on those at home holding the fort as the waxing Moon conjuncts Uranus, then enters Gemini tonight. Impatience can make for abrupt, injudicious moves or comments and minor accidents later tonight- go gently and speak kindly while the waxing Moon opposes Mars. If the mind buzzes and it’s hard to sleep, get up and brainstorm rather than let the mind spin its hamster wheels under tonight’s full Moon.
Moon conjunct Uranus 1:02 AM, Moon sextile Neptune 8:42 AM, Venus quincunx Uranus 8:49 AM, Moon trine Pluto 2:51 PM, Moon enters Gemini 5:39 PM, Moon square Saturn 7:22 PM, Moon opposed Mars 9:07 PM.
Monday, November 27: Early this morning, 2:16 AM MST, the Moon is full in Gemini, Mercury squares Neptune; our dreams could be wild we may feel like we’re recovering from too much coffee for the rest of the day. Ideas swim around, notes get lost, imagination beautifully vivid, but we may think we understand each other better than we do. People may be deluded, intend to deceive, or just be confused, so don’t take simple answers without scrutiny, question all incoming information, and look for the logic underneath as. Dream big and let those dreams guide but know the difference between the dream world and this grittier consensual reality.
Moon opposed the Sun 2:16 AM., Mercury square Neptune 6:27 AM.
Tuesday, November 28: It’s easier to speak our feelings and discuss all things positive and Venusian today as the Gemini Moon trines Venus in Libra, as long as we don’t do it to expect somebody’s specific response in return. While it’s a good day for fair negotiations, it can be trickier to handle what irritates with grace, just be aware that the shadow side is around the corner. Tonight grows moodier, introspective, and leaves us wondering about the wisdom of some of the things we said recently as the Moon enters sensitive and introspective Cancer. Remember that second-guessing ourselves is not useful, so let’s be forgiving and imagine how we’d handle that differently next time- instead.
Moon trine Venus 10:54 AM, Moon square Neptune 2:29 PM, Moon opposed Mercury 6:03 PM, Moon enters Cancer 11:53 PM.
Wednesday, November 29: Don’t push people. Put self-care and sympathy on the front burner. Our health or stamina may feel worn thin and call for down time, clean food, and gentle exercise; not that health suddenly worsens, but we need to attend to these things now. Health-related issues hit the news as Jupiter and the nurturing Cancer Moon form a yod with the Sun and Mars.
Moon trine Saturn 1:51 AM, Sun quincunx Jupiter 10:37 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 1:21 PM.
Thursday, November 30: Stay in the moment with relationships of all kinds. Open the heart and use intuition and empathy to figure out what would make another happy what would help them flow as Venus quincunx Neptune. Just don’t enable bad behavior in the process; be honest about who people actually are and how they really feel. Don’t mistake grumpiness for withdrawal, some people are feeling extra self-protective because they are feeling a bit vulnerable.
Venus quincunx Neptune 3:12 AM, Moon sextile Uranus 2:19 PM., Moon trine Neptune 11:04 PM.
